Well folks, sorry to say this, but we will need to cancel this week’s conversation while we look for a new home for our weekly discussion. Our friends at Lockhart’s BBQ, which has been our home for the last few years, are closing for a remodel and rebranding. This was posted to their Facebook page this morning:
Hello friends of Lockhart’s BBQ – Lake Orion. We are excited to announce that Lockhart’s BBQ in Lake Orion will be rebranding and will open up as a new concept in a few weeks. As of today, we will close for renovations and prepare for the new restaurant. It has been a great 3.5 years and we thank you for your patronage.
We began meeting at Lockhart’s in January 2017, and they have been very accommodating to our group, making space and taking good care of the dozen or so of us who turn up every Tuesday evening. So join us in wishing the folks at Lockhart’s well. We look forward to seeing what they will do next with the space, and hopefully we will be able to return once they’ve reopened.
In the meanwhile, we will be on the hunt for a new venue for our discussions. We will keep everyone posted.
