If you ask our members why they come to St. Mary’s they’ll tell you that it feels like home. We cultivate that sense of home and community through our inviting, family-inclusive worship, and our opportunities to connect with one another in fellowship and service. At St. Mary’s we believe we are blessed and strengthened by God’s diverse creation of age, race, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, nationality, and spoken language. We welcome all who seek to follow Christ into the full life and service of the Church.
Mission:
St. Mary’s In-The-Hills, inspired by the Word and nurtured by the Sacraments, promotes an active and community conscious congregation supporting the mission and ministry of Jesus Christ.
We put our mission into practice by supporting each other through worship, fellowship, and Christian education. We work on our mission in our community by being active in social ministries in our area.
Worship:
Our worship services reflect our traditional Episcopalian heritage, with the deep roots of the liturgy as found in the Book of Common Prayer (1979), but we also welcome the spontaneity and occasional chaos that can come from having children in the pews and participating in the service.
What We Believe:
Many newcomers want to know what we Episcopalians believe. A good summary can be found here.
If you would like to know more about us, feel free to reach out to Fr. Andy (andy@stmarysinthehills.org).
