Holy Days
The Episcopal Church celebrates many Feast Days and Holy Days. At Saint Mary’s we mark several of these days with special readings or activities during the regularly scheduled service. For Christmas and Easter, our service schedule changes and we have additional services and activities for these special occasions.
Some of the Feast and Holy Days we celebrate include Nativity Sunday, Transfiguration Sunday, the Feast of Saint Mary, Pentacost, Trinity Sunday, and All Saint’s Day. For these Sundays our service times remain the same as on a regular Sunday.
During the time leading up to Easter we have additional services. For the season of Lent (the 40 days leading up to Easter) we add a Wednesday night service. Then for the week before Easter Sunday (Holy Week) we have services on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and then, Easter Sunday. Complete schedules for this time will be posted on the website closer to that time of year.
For Christmas, we add services for Christmas Eve. Those service times will also be posted on the website.
