Our Buildings
The first worship space used by Saint Mary’s was originally a school house. The 1920’s-era building was built on the Scripps Farm for the children of the farm workers. In 1952, a group of local Episcopalians started looking for a worship building. The schoolhouse and property were purchased and the first services were held in June of that same year.
Today, our primary worship space is an addition to that original building. That addition was constructed in the early 1970’s and holds about 250 people.
In 2008, Saint Mary’s dedicated the newest structure to the church compound, a parish hall. This modern hall serves many purposes. There are two handicap accessible bathrooms as well as a large kitchen. The church nursery is also part of this building. Movable and flexible room dividers help make the space a very usable large room. The Sunday School is held there, as well as Sunday coffee hours.
The building is in continual use by the parish and is also available to the community. If you are interested in using the building for your group or event please follow this link to the Building Use Policy.
